Why I'm running for re-election
It has been my pleasure to serve as Alderperson for District 6 these past two years. I decided to run for a second term for a myriad of reasons including some unfinished business in getting some projects completed in our district. I have worked tirelessly to represent your views and vote the resident's will with every vote. I have notified residents by postings, emails and phone calls regarding upcoming proposals and legislation which our neighborhood and city. My pledge to be a good steward of taxpayer money has always been paramount.
I have addressed the chief complaint which is speeding and traffic concerns in our neighborhoods. The WPD has responded to our complaints with increased police visibility with traffic monitoring when available. The amount of traffic stops have increased exponentially illustrating the effectiveness of their efforts. Other traffic calming measures are being discussed, especially on some roads around Riverview School.
I have worked with residents on keeping outdoor ice rinks in our neighborhoods. Since WSD decided to no longer allow rinks on school property our group has looked at various spots to continue our 45 year tradition. This year ice was placed at Thom Field with a great response from residents with its use. We will continue to look at other venues to get a rink back into District 6 ,working with both local businesses and foundations to continue our tradition of having neighborhood recreation destinations.
I will continue to knock on doors in the next couple of months and invite anyone to email or call me with any questions or concerns.
